Nigel Evans calls for more action on knife crime

Nigel Evans today took the opportunity at Business Questions to call for more action to be taken to combat knife crime across the UK. Mr Evans’ intervention comes after a violent incident between two teenagers in Clitheroe yesterday evening, which is currently being investigated by Lancashire Constabulary.

Nigel Evans visits local apprentices at AB InBev

Nigel Evans, MP for the Ribble Valley, last week visited AB InBev’s Salemsbury site to meet three apprentices who are now brewing for the world’s largest brewer. The apprentices, all of whom are aged between 18 – 21, are part of an apprenticeship scheme run by AB InBev across its breweries and are involved in a Technical Services apprenticeship, developing their engineering skills over a four year period.

Nigel Evans calls for care package at Plessington Court to remain

Nigel Evans calls for extra road safety measures in Sabden

Nigel Evans, MP for the Ribble Valley, has called on Lancashire County Council to install traffic calming measures in the village of Sabden. The village, which connects Burnley and Clitheroe, has seen a dramatic increase in speeding traffic since the opening of the A59 roundabout on Pendle Road which was completed ahead of schedule in February.
