Nigel Evans has received a special award, in recognition of his support for the Long Live the Local campaign and helping to secure consecutive freezes in beer duty. Nigel Evans was presented with the ‘Beer Champion’ award.

Sabden finally gets mobile connection after successful lobbying campaign

Nigel Evans has welcomed the news that the Sabden mobile mast has now gone live after a successful campaign in coordination with Cllr Ricky Newmark. This involved intensive lobbying to the Secretary of State for Culture Media and Sport, Jeremy Wright MP, and the stakeholders in the mast; including Vodafone.

Nigel Evans questions Minister over poor mobile signal

Nigel Evans has contacted the Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, Jeremy Wright MP to provide answers to the poor mobile connection in Sabden. The village is now effectively a ‘dead-zone’ for mobile signal, despite the construction of a new mast almost a year ago.

Nigel Evans meets UN accredited Climate Change teacher and addresses students in Longridge

Nigel Evans recently met with Rachael Gray, they first UN accredited climate change teacher in Lancashire; she is now one of only 8 in the UK to receive the accreditation. She can now deliver up to date climate change and plans to share Best Practice in an inset day on 2nd September 2019 with all teaching staff, so that they too can take part in this new innovative programme being trialled in UK Schools.

Nigel Evans MP Challenges Russia on LGBTI Rights

Nigel Evans challenged the credentials of the Russian Federation delegation to the Council of Europe in Strasbourg at the June session (25th June 2019) for their refusal to protect the rights of LGBTI individuals in Chechnya.
