Nigel Evans recently took the opportunity of being selected to ask the Prime Minister a question to raise concerns about anti-gay discrimination in Commonwealth countries, which is often set into legal statute.
Nigel Evans has lobbied Jeremy Hunt and NHS bosses to make use of the existing facilities at Calderstones Hospital in Whalley, which is earmarked for closure next month.
Nigel Evans has supported a parliamentary Early Day Motion (EDM) calling on Parliamentarians to stand with fire crews at their nearest fire station to observe the minute’s silence at Midday on Friday 4th May.
Nigel has written to Amber Rudd MP, the Home Secretary, to ask that more is done to combat fraudsters who advertise goods and products but never deliver on their promises after meeting a constituent who fell foul to such a scam.
The Secretary of State for Transport, Chris Grayling, last week announced that Lancashire will benefit from a £2.4m chunk of a £100m discretionary fund to assist the areas worst-affected by the bad weather – only five council areas will get more.
The Ribble Valley was named the 11th best place to live in the North West by the Sunday Times ‘Best Places to Live’ Guide.
