Nigel congratualtes the Swan with Two Necks on being named Pub of the Year

Nigel has today congraulated Steve and Christine Dilworth, owners of the Swan with Two Necks in Pendleton, on their pub neing named CAMRA’s Pub of the Year 2014.

Mr Evans said:

“I am delighted for Steve and Christine and all the staff at the Swan with Two Necks. It really is a fantastic pub and I am incredibly lucky to live right next door. Not only does it have a fantastic selection of real ale and wonderful food, but they really are the best neighbours that you could ever hope to have.

“This award is testament to all their hard work and dedication that has turned the pub into a destination for people from miles around as well maintaining its role as the hearbeat of the village.”

Mr Evans has also tabled an Early Day Motion in the House of Commons:



That this House congratulates the Swan with Two Necks pub in the village of Pendleton in the Ribble Valley on being named CAMRA’s Pub of the Year 2014; notes that in the competition pubs are judged on their atmosphere, decor, welcome, service, value for money, customer mix, but most importantly –quality of beer; further notes that to be named as CAMRA’s Pub of the Year is a tremendous accolade and reflects the dedication of the owners and the staff as well as the high quality of the pub itself; recognises that the owners of the Swan with Two Necks, Steve and Christine Dilworth, work incredibly hard to ensure that the pub is the heartbeat of the village and local community; and wishes the Swan with Two Necks every success for 2014 and beyond.
